The Plantour site, located on the outskirts of Aigle towards Bex, offers climbing routes on two limestone cliffsides which require good techniques and are largely the domain of experienced climbers. Access is on foot; with Aigle cemetery as the departure point. Follow the tourist signposts indicating the Plantour footpath. For the upper cliffs, take a steep trail to your left (for about 10 minutes) just after the entrance to the forest. For the lower cliffs, continue along the track from the cemetery and after the bench, go left (for about 5 minutes). 

As for the Drapel site above Aigle, it is suitable to a much wider audience. Well equipped, these climbing routes on the "Pierre of the Druids" (Druid Stones) cliffside, are of medium difficulty and are just as suitable for beginners as they are for advanced climbers. Located on the edge of the forest, the site is attractive and well shaded. Accessible from Yvorne, follow the Corbeyrier road in the direction of Vers-Monthey. The climb is steep before arriving at a plateau on the edge of the forest. Limited parking. Now walk along the Drapel track as far as the bench and to the foot of the cliffs at the righthand side. 

It is important to remember that climbing is authorised only on this right side of the "Pierre of the Druids" (Druid Stones).
