Vine and Wine Museum
Since 2010, the Vine and Wine Museum is meeting new challenges, adapting with the times and with the expectations of its visitors. Based on current practices of the wine-producing world in our regions, the Vine and Wine Museum puts them into their environmental and historical contexts. It presents six different collections each with major emphasis on interactive exhibits.
The Vine and Wine Museum was founded in 1971 by the Brotherhood of Guillon in a bid to save the endangered Vaudoise winegrowing heritage. The Wine and Vine Museum has brought together its collections focusing on winegrowers’ tools and on the cultural memoirs associated with the world of wine both in Switzerland and bordering nations.
Since 2010, the Vine and Wine Museum has become an important point of reference for the world of wine. It touches upon different themes such as the countryside, biodiversity, educating the palate, ecology, the economy, art and of celebration with the same enthusiasm as it reserves for the work of the winegrower, to the vines themselves and to the wine cellar.
