Aigle, attractive town of 8'750 inhabitants, is also a district made up of 15 communes. With a surface area of some 1'636 hectares and at an altitude of 415m, it is the ideal location for countless activities.

Historical site whose roots date back to the bronze age, Aigle nestles between lake and mountains and is a dynamic and forward thinking town. Surrounded by vineyards whose reputations are second to none, this very popular travel stop in the Chablais region of Vaud also stands in its own right as an interesting summer and winter destination. It is a departure point for numerous hikes both in the valley and in the mountains. 

Aigle is at the crossroads of important rail and road networks linked directly to the heart of 9 alpine resorts in Vaud and Valais. These resorts offer a whole range of winter sports, complete with equipment hire, and they are also very popular as holiday destinations in summer.
